Few people know that 73 per cent of the land mass of Hamilton is rural. It was fitting that I wrapped up my campaign for Mayor in Freeleton at a big Hallowe’en craft fair, with special emphasis on pet dogs. The parking area was full, the crowd friendly and lively. I received a friendly reception. “I heard your ads of the radio. Hamilton’s roads suck,” one woman told me. All week I had run “FIX THE ROADS” ads on two local radio stations: KX94.7 FM — New Country and 88.5 FM THE LAKE — classic rock.
