Hamilton needs a change of direction and focus. Taxes are too high, the roads are a catastrophe.  I have municipal experience and know how elected officials can be manipulated by staff.  Council must narrowly focus on its responsibilities, especially the roads. In August, the present mayor took it upon herself to write to local venues urging that they not rent space for a conference of the Dominion Society, nor would she let them rent city space. Taxpayers’ facilities should be open to all. We all pay taxes. There should be no discrimination on ideological grounds. I put out a press release at the time headlined: “Leave free speech alone, Andrea. Fix the roads!” Her folly will cost the city in legal bills because the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms is taking the city to court for violating the Freedom’s Society’s rights to free speech and assembly
