Stop the Unnecessary, Costly Vanity LRT,” Says Paul Fromm
The proposed LRT is an immensely wasteful vanity project pushed by downtown politicians. Its route from McMaster University to the Eastgate Mall is illogical. It will severely limit a major east-west street — King Street and further add to traffic gridlock and congestion. It will destroy many small businesses by removing parking and making it harder for customers to reach them.
I opposed this costly boondoggle in 2018. I oppose it even more strongly today.
